About us

Sharp-1 Knives originally started out as a hobby. Originally when my passion for cutlery started I had heard horror stories of people having their knives ruined due to improper sharpening, or very rough sharpening done by a powered machine at the local hardware store.
When dealing with heirloom quality knives, I didn't trust anyone, and didn't know of anyone who could offer a quality job that matched the knife being sharpened. 
From there my services became a hobby for friends and family. After many years as a hobbyist cutler, and as my skills progressed further and further, I have since ventured into sharpening knives full time! 

From commercial knives, to handmade customs I treat each blade as if it was my own.
From precise fixed angle belt sharpening,
to hand sharpening with stones,
I will sharpen each item to its correct/desired angle to a satisfactory sharp! 

Sharp1 has a prior background in professional grade tool sales, and with that the professional knife industry. Since then, Sharp-1 now proudly works with the following brands, and MANY more custom knife makers!
